The Book of Joy: Lasting Hapiness in a Changing World Print

The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World is a book by the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates the 14th Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu published in 2016 by Cornerstone Publishers. In this nonfiction, the authors discuss the challenges of living a joyful life.

As the Dalai Lama said repeatedly, we are all human beings. This should make it easier for us to connect with others who don't share the same background we do . Several "Joy Practices" are included at the end of the book that touch on all of the concepts presented. Some come from the Buddhist tradition, others from the Christian faith - all easily adaptable to the readers' own spiritual faith.

The Book of Joy is not about religion. It talks about human nature and joy in simple language, but the lessons are deep. It's worth reading.
