            On November 4, 2007, following a Town Hall meeting of Ethiopian-Americans, an Ad Hoc committee representing concerned Ethiopian-Americans residing in California was formed with its office located in the city of Los Angeles. The main objective of the committee is to make a grassroots effort and be a decisive force in stopping the Senate from passing HR-2003: The Ethiopian Democracy and Accountability Act of 2007.

UN-backed tree-planting drive hits 1 billion goal ahead of climate change talks - (28 November 2007)

One billion trees have been planted under a drive backed by the United Nations and the World Agroforestry Centre, hitting the milestone as planned ahead of next month's international climate change conference in Bali.

Achim Steiner, Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme, said the achievement of the goal "is a further sign of the breathtaking momentum witnessed this year on the challenge for this generation - climate change."

CUD has chosen to use its "Mafia" wing of the party to scare the author of our letter to Senator Inhofe dated November 8, 2007 by resorting to personal threats instead of debating the issues. We have identified the individuals responsible for such threats and those individuals happened to be members of CUD. As a result we have decided to take legal steps against those individuals and CUD.
